TRANSPORT

MEALS
In Mongolia, dining will take place at fine American, European, and Asian cuisine restaurants. The Mongolian diet primarily consists of mutton, beef, rice, and noodles, forming the basis of your meals. Trail rations may include vegetables, eggs, peanut butter, cheese, and occasionally yak! Day 2 - Karakorum and Erdene Zuu via Elsen Tasarkhai sand dunes
We'll pick you up from your accommodation and embark on a direct drive to Elsen Tasarkhai sand dune, covering a distance of 250 kms. Located within the Khogno Khan Nature Reserve, this area boasts splendid mountains and represents two or three natural zones. Enjoy a one-hour camel trekking experience with the support of a local camel man, traversing the golden sand dunes. Our journey continues to Karakorum, the ancient capital of the Mongol Empire in the 13th century. Once the heart of the empire, Karakorum was later abandoned and destroyed. Today, the awe-inspiring ancient Erdenezuu Monastery stands amidst the wide valley of the Orkhon River, coexisting with the town of Kharkhorin.

Day 3 - Khustai Nuruu national park
Embark on a journey to Hustai National Park, a vital site for the re-introduction of Przewalski’s horse, known locally as Tahki. This unique species faced extinction in the wild during the 1960s, and since 1992, successful re-introduction efforts have taken place in Hustai and other parts of Mongolia, involving individuals sourced from zoos worldwide. Upon arrival at Hustai National Park, engage in leisurely hiking amidst the surrounding mountains, searching for glimpses of the wild Takhi horses. Continue your adventure to a nomadic family living just outside the park. Upon arrival, meet the welcoming family members and immerse yourself in the nomadic lifestyle. Spend the rest of the day learning about their daily routines, participating in tasks, and assisting in the preparation of authentic Mongolian dishes under the guidance of the hostess. Day 4 - Gorkhi-Terelj national park via Chinggis Khan statue complex and Ulaanbaatar city

Continuing your adventure, travel to the majestic Chinggis Khaan Monument, located at the Tsonjin Boldog site, 54 km from Ulaanbaatar. This imposing statue portrays Chinggis Khaan (1162-1227) holding a golden whip and gazing into the distance. The site is rich in historical significance, connected to various events in Erdene soum, Tov aimag. The statue stands proudly amidst 36 columns representing Mongolian Khaans, covered in an impressive 250 tons of steel. Visitors can ascend to the exhibition hall via an elevator at the horse's back, offering a panoramic view of the complex and its surroundings.
