Day 2 - Karakorum, Erdene Zuu via Elsen Tasarkhai

The monastery, constructed in 1586 and enclosed by an expansive 400m x 400m wall, is a testament to the rich cultural heritage of the region. Despite the impacts of communist purges, a few temples still stand tall within the compound. In its prime, the monastery complex boasted over 60 temples, serving as a spiritual haven for around 10,000 monks. En route, take a brief pause to marvel at the Elsen Tasarkhai sand dunes.

Day 3 - Kushuu Tsaidam, Ugii lake
