MEALS

Day 2 - Karakorum, Erdene Zuu via Elsen Tasarkhai
Embark on a picturesque journey to Karakorum and Erdenezuu Monastery after a delightful morning. Karakorum, the historic capital of Chingis Khaan's Mongolia, awaits your exploration. The monastery, constructed in 1586 and enclosed by an expansive 400m x 400m wall, is a testament to the rich cultural heritage of the region. Despite the impacts of communist purges, a few temples still stand tall within the compound. In its prime, the monastery complex boasted over 60 temples, serving as a spiritual haven for around 10,000 monks. En route, take a brief pause to marvel at the Elsen Tasarkhai sand dunes.

Day 3 - Kushuu Tsaidam, Ugii lake
Embark on a fascinating journey to the renowned Khusuu Tsaidam, a Turkic inscribed monument dating back to the Turkic State (6th – 8th Centuries A.D). This historical site features inscriptions written by the grandson of Kultegin, dedicated to Bilge khan of the Turkic Empire and his brother Kultegin in 732. As your exploration continues, you'll reach the picturesque Ogii Lake. Spanning 27 square kilometers with an average depth of 7 meters, this stunning lake is adorned with delicate sand, a whetstone coast, and gentle waves. Ogii Lake offers an array of activities, including bird watching, boating, kayaking, swimming, and fishing. Conclude your day with a delectable Mongolian barbecue Khorkhog for dinner, followed by a restful overnight stay in a Ger camp.

Day 4 - Khustai Nuruu national park
